HRH Prince Charles is first in line to the throne. His wide range of interests is reflected in ‘The Prince’s Charities’, 20 not-for-profit organisations of which he is President. The organisations are active across areas including opportunity and enterprise, education, health and the built and natural environments. Hugh Thomas

Hugh Thomas is a surgeon and forensic expert of international repute. His 1979 book, ‘The Murder of Rudolf Hess’, caused a world-wide furore as it alleged that the prisoner in Spandau Gaol was not Rudolf Hess. His second book ‘Hess: A Tale of Two Murders’ precipitated a six month Scotland Yard inquiry which saw its report immediately suppressed.

Wil Tirion

Wil Tirion was trained in graphic arts and always had an interest in astronomy and especially star charts. In 1983 he became a self-employed Uranographer, a specialist in drawing charts of the night sky. Since then he has contributed to many books including the bestselling Collins Guide to the Night Sky annual. In 1987 he received the ‘Dr. J. van der Bilt-prize’, a Dutch award for amateur astronomers. In 1993 he had a minor planet named after him: (4648) Tirion = 1931 UE.

Ryan Tubridy is one of Ireland’s leading and best-loved television and radio presenters, whose shows include Radio Telefís Éireann’s The Tubridy Show, which examines all aspects of Irish politics, society and culture, and the television chat show Tubridy Tonight on RTÉ One.
