Kathryn Harrison is the author of the novels ‘The Binding Chair’, ‘Exposure’, ‘A Thousand Orange Trees’ and ‘Envy’, as well as two volumes of memoirs, ‘The Kiss’ and ‘Seeking Rapture’, all available from Fourth Estate. She lives in New York with her husband, the novelist Colin Harrison, and their children.

Mark Hix is the much-praised executive chef of The Ivy, Le Caprice and J.Sheeky, and father of twins, Ellie and Lydia.

James Hirsch is a writer who has worked on the ‘New York Times’ and the ‘Wall Street Journal’.

Chris Horrie is a journalist and author who writes regularly for the Guardian and the Observer. He is from Bolton.

Paul Hoffman is the publisher of ‘Encyclopaedia Britannica’. He is the host of the five-part PBS series ‘Great Minds of Science’ and a frequent correspondent on television shows such as ‘CBS This Morning’ and ‘The News Hour with Jim Lehrer.’ For ten years, Hoffman was the president and editor-in-chief of ‘Discover’ magazine. He is the author of ten books including ‘Archimedes’ Revenge.’ He lives in Chicago, Illinois and Woodstock, New York.

Merlin Holland is Oscar Wilde’s only grandson. He is a journalist and the author of ‘The Wilde Album’ and ‘Irish Peacock and Scarlet’ both also published by Fourth Estate.

Philip Hoare is the author of six works of non-fiction, including Leviathan or, The Whale, which won the 2009 Samuel Johnson Prize for non-fiction. Most recently, The Sea Inside (2013) was published to great critical acclaim. Hoare is also an experienced broadcaster, a Visiting Fellow at Southampton University, and Leverhulme Artist-in-residence at The Marine Institute, Plymouth University, which awarded him an honourary doctorate in 2011. He lives in Southampton.
